What to expect when you work with Vivant

A custom kitchen design project or kitchen remodeling project may feel overwhelming. Let us do the work instead.

Although we treat every kitchen as a unique project, here are the general milestones that we’ll work towards to, together:

1. Measure your kitchen or Obtain your kitchen layout

A simple drawing of your kitchen is required in order to provide you with an accurate estimate. This layout plan should show the walls, appliances, doors, windows, and measurements. You can refer to our kitchen measuring guide.

2. Visit our showroom

We have full sized kitchen displays with an array of storage solutions, finishes, and other accessories at our showroom. You can interact, test out and have a feel of our workmanship and products here.

3. Select your kitchen design or style

Work with our designers to come up with your dream kitchen style. Thereafter, we will provide you with a non-obligatory Preliminary Budget Design and Estimate, at no cost.

This will give you an idea of what to expect for your kitchen design project, without having to make any financial obligations, until you are ready to work with us.

4. Working out the details

Once you are ready to proceed, our kitchen designer will present you with a thorough design proposal, complete with 3D images.

We will present you with an updated and detailed estimate. This estimate will be broken down into four parts: Materials, Sales Tax, Delivery, and Installation. It will also give you a clearer idea of how the project will proceed, as well as how long it will take.

5. Professional measurement of your kitchen / home

Once you have decided to proceed with your custom kitchen design or kitchen remodeling project, our designer will take professional measurements of your kitchen. During this appointment, they will work with you to finalise the design, or work on any changes required.

6. Finalising the project

After the professional measurements have been taken, and updates of any changes made, we will set a meeting. Here, we will review the final design and cost estimate. Your kitchen design will be revised until you are satisfied.

7. Confirming Contract Matters

Once the final design is agreed upon, a contract will be prepared. At the time the contract is signed, a 50% deposit for cost of materials is required.

8. Reviewing the timeline

A scheduled timeline will be organized for your project, it will cover everything from demolition to completion. This timeline will give you a better idea of what to expect when the kitchen construction works are being done.

The production of the kitchen is usually done within 4 weeks. During this time the contractor will simultaneously be preparing the room for installation. Preparations include demolition, patching drywall, new flooring if wanted, and moving plumbing and electrical if necessary.

Once the project is ready for installation, the cabinets will be delivered. At this point, the second payment (40% of project amount) will be required. Installation for an average sized kitchen usually takes 2 to 3 days.

Fabrication of the countertop usually takes 7 working days.

The final payment will be due, after completion.
